Pramu and Sonali Rodrigo have proven their worth as capable navigators, having built successful careers in finance, and then moving on to create their own successful operations managing several successful companies in Australia. The duo shared their story with Echelon in this interview and explained how they might be able to help Sri Lankans seek investment opportunities abroad in Australia.

What inspired you to embark on this journey?
Property investing can be very lucrative; however, it can take years of trial and error to fine-tune a strategy. Having lived in Australia for over 15 years and having had exposure to the property, lending and financial planning landscapes at a very in-depth level, it was a natural progression for us to start our own business, enter the business world and use our tried and tested methods to help our clients on their wealth creation journeys.
We have worked our way from buying our first property to subsequently accumulating a portfolio of several investment properties with minimal holding costs and we are more than happy to share our expertise to help clients do the same.
Now we get to help others achieve their financial goals and targets, and it gives us a lot of satisfaction to witness their growth while guiding them through their investment journey.
How have you crafted your services to provide clients with a superior experience and exciting returns?
Pramu started the business in 2009, forming a property investment company, and since then we have branched out and added Tomorrow Financial Solutions in 2013 to cater to the finance and lending requirements of clients and No 8 Property Group to accommodate the property investment needs of clients. We have most recently expanded our offering under Rodrigo Wealth Management which enables us to work with a small number of handpicked High-Net-Worth clients in Australia and overseas, whom we work with one on one to offer a truly personalized experience. Together, we pool our experience and knowledge to generate wealth through properties and different asset classes in a holistic way catering to the specific individual investment horizons of each client.
Depending on the client’s investment timeframe and risk tolerance, investments can be in the form of a single house and land package, apartment, townhouse, a small subdivision project or even a multi-unit development. It could also be the opportunity to fund a short-term development project with guaranteed returns or a joint venture between like-minded investors to benefit from higher purchasing capacities. The investments are chosen in collaboration with our clients to achieve superior above-market returns and with a long-term vision to leverage each investment to enable clients to duplicate the same investment process for their next investment.
